DTIA 2025 GET-TOGETHER

2025 Theme:
Design Thinking + - × ÷

SUTD, Singapore

12~13 Apr

Design Thinking has evolved significantly over the years. What began as a method to frame and amplify creativity while solving user-centric problems has grown into a dynamic, adaptable enabler.

Today, design is not a stand-alone solution; it thrives when interconnected with other progressive methodologies like futures thinking and organisational development. Together, they form a comprehensive, forward-looking set of approaches that fully harness the potential of design—with Design Thinking at the center, steadfast in its commitment to human centricity and life centricity.

DTIA’s 2025 Get-Together will further deconstruct and reconstruct Design Thinking, starting with:

  • Plus (+): Design Thinking creates value by adding empathy and defining problems to frame innovation, addressing complex needs in meaningful ways.

  • Minus (-): It helps identify and remove barriers, paving the way for streamlined and impactful solutions. Less becomes more.

  • Multiply (×): When multiplied by other disciplines, such as future-thinking and organisational development, design expands in reach and effectiveness, building resilience for the future.

  • Divide (÷): Design Thinking breaks down complex challenges into manageable parts, promoting clarity and structured problem-solving.

Through these dynamics, the power of design extends beyond problem-solving—it becomes a strategic enabler of transformation in uncertain times, fostering adaptability, vision, and sustainable impact.

  • "DTIA always delivers on awesome content and connections for me. It's valuable time spent pushing the edges of my thinking."
